Located approximately 30 miles northwest of Hot Springs State Park Legend Rock enables visitors to view over 300 petroglyphs spanning a time-period of thousands of years. EVENT – 15th Annual Wild West Balloon Fest
TIME – 30 minutes before dusk
DETAILS – Balloon pilots fire up their propane tanks and inflate their hot air balloons, keeping the balloons tied to the ground. This colorful event delights young and old. Kids love it! Bring your camera.
Always looking for volunteers to help crew for the balloons. This is a fun, social exercise and the balloon pilots really appreciate the help. Call Jack Way or show up at Mentock Park about 30 minutes before dusk.

EVENT – Meeteetse Absaroka Challenge – 5, 10 & 15K races
TIME – 10AM
DETAILS – The Meeteetse Absaroka Challenge has been chosen to be part of the Trophy Series sponsored by Trail Runners Magazine. This is a must attend event. There is races for all abilities, so be part of something special.
The 5k, 10k race will run up the Timber Creek jeep trail which will be set up so the whole family will be able to participate. The 15k mountain run will continue up and around the mountain through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in all the Rocky Mountains. It concludes with a descent down a 1000' mountain face. According to local mountain runner Fred Thomas and participants from past races, it is one of the most RADICAL FINISHES around with the makings of a classic!
